ABOUT 'BWF'

The Badminton World Federation (BWF), is the international governing body for the sport of badminton. It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation; its name was changed in 2006 to the Badminton World Federation. Until 2005 it was based at Cheltenham, England, but is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It works through regional governing bodies covering: Asia, Europe, Americas, Africa, and Oceania.

The BWF website is divided into the following main sections: Charter, Badminton Events, Badminton Players, and News.
