The American Contract Bridge League was founded in 1937 and is based in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. It is the world's largest bridge club, with a membership of 160,000. Its mission is to promote the fun and challenge of the card game bridge, and support educational and playing opportunities for bridge enthusiasts. The League sponsors three North American Bridge Championships annually, each of which attracts around 8,000 players.
