ABOUT 'WEBB AVIATION'
The Webb Aviation website is published by Jonathan Webb, a qualified pilot who has specialised in commercial aerial photography since 1991. He is based at 14 Laleham Green, Bramhall, Cheshire SK7 3LJ. He offers a service taking custom oblique aerial photographs throughout the UK, operating mainly from Barton Aerodrome, Manchester.
Webb Aviation aerial photographs are taken at heights of between 800 and 3000 feet. This produces a vivid angled view of buildings and natural features, which is more lifelike than the vertical photographs produced by satellites used in services such as Google Earth.
Jonathan Webb is currently taking more than 10,000 aerial photographs per annum, and has several thousand, organised by County, on his website. These may be freely viewed in full size. Prints may be ordered online. Re-touching is also available. The website contains an interesting example of this, where in an aerial photograph of a commercial site enormous amounts of rubbish have been magically removed, and richly planted forests have magically appeared.
Custom aerial photography is priced in terms of distance from Manchester. The price includes 20 digital aerial photograph images on CD, and a non-transferable royalty-free license to use the images. Aerial photographs may be digitally manipulated. For example, an aerial photograph of a commercial property for sale can show red highlighting of, or a red line around, the property for sale.
