ABOUT 'TIM BRYARS' ANTIQUARIAN MAPS
The
Tim Bryars website is published by Tim
Bryars, whose antiquarian map and book business is based at 8 Cecil Court,
London WC2N 4HE. Cecil Court, which is a picturesque pedestrian street running
between St. Martin's Lane and Charing Cross Road, has been home to numerous
bookshops since the 1930s. The bookshop frontages remain essentially unchanged
in appearance since the street was re-built in the 1890s. The business is a
member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association, and Tim Bryars is a Fellow
of the Rare Book Society.
Tim Bryars is also one of the organisers of the
London Map Fair. This comprises one day antiquarian map events at the Rembrandt
Hotel in Knightsbridge, and a two day antiquarian map fair in June at the
Olympia Exhibition Centre.
The Tim Bryars online stock of antiquarian maps and books can be browsed by
category, and can also be searched by criteria including map maker, printer,
date, and title. There is a What's New page listing recent acquisitions.
