ABOUT 'UK CHILDREN'S BOOKS'
The
UK Children's Books website is
produced by Steve and Diana Kimpton. Diana is the author of more than 25
children's books; Steve is the technical expert who manages the website. They
say that their enthusiasm for the world of children's books is fuelled by the
fact that it is full of delightful real people, as well as imaginary dragons,
schoolboy wizards, and talking teddy bears.
The UK Children's Books website is a directory of children's book authors,
illustrators, and publishers. There are more than 100 in each category, with
links to their websites.
Steve and Diana Kimpton also produce the Word Pool website. This is a children's
book website for parents, teachers, and writers. It is organised into the
following main sections: Parents' Corner, Choosing Children's Books, Reluctant
Readers, Numeracy, Big Books, Writing for Children, Author Profiles, Resources,
and About Us. Reviewers include Eve Jackson (poetry books) and Jill Bennett
(picture books). The Author Profiles section contains interviews with children's
