ABOUT 'LATENT LIGHT'

The Latent Light website was founded by photographer Adam Gildersleeve. He is supported by Kim Elliott (Library Manager), John Watts (Image Editor), and Alistair Brown (Support Advisor). Latent Light is an online store selling contemporary photographs, which may be purchased online as a variety of sized prints, and also as canvas prints.

Gildersleeve set up Latent Light as a showcase for his own photographs, but also as an open gallery for other like-minded photographers.

The Latent Light website is organised into the following main sections: Animal Photographs, Architecture Photographs, Creative Photographs, Flora Photographs, Landscape Photographs, Manipulated Photographs, Natural Photographs, People Photographs, Sport Photographs, Symbolic Photographs, Transport Photographs, and Travel Photographs.

A search facility enables the user to search across all photographers by topic. For example, a search on New York City produces more than 150 colour and black and white images.

There are sections presenting the Top Ten most popular photographs in the following categories: Travel, Artistic, Plants, Architecture, Landscape, People, Animals, Birds, Flowers, and Transport. There is an Editor's Choice section. There is also a set of Exhibitions showcasing the work of individual photographers from the UK and abroad.
