ABOUT 'NATIONAL CANAL MUSEUM'
The National Canal Museum, in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA, was established in 1962 when the City of Easton purchased 260 acres of land stretching along six miles of the Lehigh River which had been the property of the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company. Assistance for the purchase was provided by the late Hugh Moore, founder of the Dixie Cup Company. The land contains a restored section of the Lehigh Navigation canal and three sites with substantial industrial relics of the period 1832 to 1910. The Pennsylvania Canal Society was formed in 1966 to preserve materials and artifacts relating to Pennsylvania's canal period. This collection grew into the National Canal Museum, which is now at Two Rivers Landing, in downtown Easton.

The Visitors sections gives information on the National Canal Museum, the Hugh Moore Park, the Emrick Technology Center, the Josiah White II Canal Boat Ride, and the Locktender's House.
