The EdenProject.com website is published by the Eden Trust, owners and operators of the Eden Centre, near St.Austell, Cornwall, England. The objectives of the Trust are to promote the understanding and responsible management of the relationship between plants, people and resources, leading to a sustainable future for all.
The main features of the Eden Project are two Biomes. The Humid Tropics Biome has an area of 1.55 hectares, is 55 metres high, 100 metres wide, and 200 metres long. It is the largest greenhouse in the world, and is large enough to hold eleven double-decker buses piled on top of each other. The Warm Temperature Biome has an area of 0.65 hectares, is 35 metres high, 65 metres wide, and 135 metres long. Within these Biomes are more than 1,000,000 plants representing 5,000 species from many of the world's climatic zones.
