Tour Eiffrel website is the
official website of the Eiffel Tower. It is available in seven languages, and
the front page can be chosen to show images of the Eiffel Tower by night or day. The
website is organized into the following main sections: Eiffel Tower News,
Practical Information, Eiffel Tower Documentation, The Eiffel Tower at Leisure,
and Professional Services.
The Eiffel Tower News section contains current
news, and also an archive of news anecdotes from the last hundred years. These
can be searched by selecting the year of your choice.
The Eiffel Tower at Leisure section includes a 3D virtual visit to the Eiffel
Tower, two 360 degree panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower, and downloadable 3D
models of the Eiffel Tower. There is also a view of Paris from the Eiffel Tower;
this can be panned using your cursor, and provides labels for buildings of
interest. The user can zoom in and out using the shift and control keys. There
is a Video Gallery with 11 video clips, including clips of New Year's Eve
Fireworks, and the Highest Skating Rink in Paris. There is a Virtual Gallery
describing the history of the Eiffel Tower, and a set of e-Postcards.
