is produced by Simon Gallup, the Parish Webmaster at the village of Langham in
North East Essex, England. The painter John Constable, who lived from 1776 to
1828, became famous for his paintings of what became known as Constable Country.
This is a small area along the valley of the river Stour which includes East
Bergholt and Flatford on the Suffolk side of the river, and Dedham and Langham
on the Essex side. Constable was born in East Bergholt.
