Museum of Science, Boston is
one of the world's leading science museums. Under the leadership of Bradford
Washburn, who was Director from 1939 to 1980, the former New England Museum of
Natural History was transformed into a modern science and technology center
based at Science Park, Boston. Washburn died in January 2007 at the age of 96.
