The Gophila.com website is published by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC). GPTMC is a private non-profit organization founded by, and financially supported by, the City of Philadelphia, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the Pew Charitable Trusts. It aims to promote to tourists the various historical, cultural and leisure aspects of the five-count region encompassing Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

The Gophila.com website is organized into the following main sections: Things to Do, Places to Stay, Special Offers, Travel Tools, Philly Favorites, Your Philadelphia, What's New, Events Calendar, Itineraries & Tours, Countryside, and Photos & Multimedia.

The Things to Do section covers: Dining & Nightlife, Outdoors, and Museums & the Arts.
