ABOUT 'STANFORD ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PHILOSOPHY'
The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is produced by the Metaphysics Research Lab, Center for the Study of Language and Information, at Stanford University, California, USA. Its funders include Stanford University, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Science Foundation.
The online encyclopedia contains more than 3,000 pages which are searchable by keyword pr phrase. The articles are contributed by more than 1,000 professional philosophers who donate their time and labor to write collaboratively, and refere, the reference work. Examples of topics covered include: democracy, civil rights, quantum mechanics, consciousness, and voluntary euthanasia.
