ABOUT CONFESSIONS OF AN AGEING TRAIN SPOTTER
The Confessions of an Ageing Train Spotter website contains eighty anecdotal stories about railway travel over the last forty years. Written by a British railway enthusiast, they give colourful accounts of interesting railway and bus journeys, with details of the locomotives. They include journeys in Switzerland and Wales, and journeys to Evesham, Halesowen, Talybont, Oxford, and Glasgow. There is also a section of Year by Year Rail Diaries, covering each of the years from 1954 to 1961.
There is also a Photo Galleries section, with hundreds of historic railway photographs. Railways which are covered in this section include the Severn Valley Railway, Great Central Railway, Ffestiniog Railway, and the Welsh Highland Railway.
