ABOUT 'WORDSWORTH TRUST'
The
Wordsworth Trust is a UK charity,
whose central role is to preserve and enhance the Dove Cottage Wordsworth
Museum, at Grasmere, in the heart of the English Lake District. The Trust also
cares for the Wordsworth Collection, and the historic environment of Town End
for future generations. It also produces exhibitions and undertakes a
contemporary arts programme.
The romantic poet William Wordsworth lived at Dove Cottage from 1799 to 1808,
and wrote many of his most famous poems there.
